DUO Membership Terms and Conditions
1.1 TC Connections Pte Ltd (“TCC”) reserves the right to reject any application for membership. If an application for membership is rejected, then any benefit that may have been accrued by the applicant will be null and void.
1.2 Continued participation in the programme by a member will be regarded as acceptance of the Terms and Conditions in force at the particular time.
1.3 DUO membership accounts are not transferrable. Enrolment of several people in a single account (joint account) and multiple enrolments by a single person is strictly not allowed.
1.4 A name change on the member’s record will be accepted upon written notification to TCC. Proof of name change is required. Members can update their personal details e.g. mailing address or email address through the DUO website (https://duo.com.sg/).
1.5 Membership will end automatically upon the death of the member. DUO Points earned but not redeemed at the time of death, as well as benefits and privileges, will be automatically cancelled.
1.6 TCC reserves the right to audit any account at any time for compliance with the programme’s Terms and Conditions without prior notice being given.
2. Personal Data
2.1 TCC and its employees and agents (collectively “Company”), may collect, use, disclose and/or process personal data about the applicant that was provided in any Company documents or forms, that the applicant previously provided or that is possessed by the Company, for one or more of the purposes listed below:
(a) providing the applicant with marketing, advertising and promotional information of services and products offered by the Company, Company’s affiliates, business partners, and related companies;
(b) offering the applicants updated marketing and promotional packages about products and services offered by selected partners that the Company believes may be of interest to the applicant or benefit to the applicant;
(c) communicating with the applicant about products and services the Company provides which are relevant to the applicant’s existing relationship with us (i.e. product updates, enquiries, complaints, processing orders, etc.); and
(d) for conducting research and market surveys.
2.2 The applicant acknowledges that the applicant’s personal data may/will be disclosed by the Company to Company’s affiliates, business partners and related companies, which may be sited outside of Singapore, for the above purposes; and the applicant consents to such third party service providers or agents of Company processing the personal data (including sending the applicant such marketing, advertising and promotional information through the above modes of communication) for the above purposes for the Company.
2.3 The applicant warrants that the applicant is the user and/or subscriber of the telephone number(s) provided by the applicant on the Company forms and/or documents.
2.4 If the applicant is submitting personal data relating to another individual, the applicant hereby represent and warrant that the applicant has the authority to provide that personal data to the Company and its affiliates, business partners and related companies, the applicant has informed the individual about the purposes for which his/her personal data is collected, used and disclosed as well as the parties to whom such personal data may be disclosed by the Company, as set out in this document, and the individual agrees and consents that the Company may collect, use and process his/her personal data.
3. EARNING DUO POINTS
3.1 Members will be awarded 1 DUO Points for every retail dollar spent within affiliates of TCC in Singapore. For credit customers (except New Vehicle customers), DUO Points will only be credited upon full payment.
3.2 DUO Points earned may only be redeemed by the member for rewards under the DUO programme.
3.3 DUO Points may be used as soon as they have been credited to member’s accounts.
3.4 DUO Points are non-transferrable.
3.5 Members should allow four weeks for DUO Points earned from TCC to be credited into account before raising a claim for missing DUO Points.
3.6 DUO Points are valid for a period of three years, starting from the date the DUO Points are being credited to the registered DUO member’s account. A member’s DUO Points will expire after three years at the end of the equivalent month in which they were earned. For example, DUO Points credited to a member’s DUO account in July 2019 will expire on 31st July 2022. Any DUO Points not utilized by the expiry date will be forfeited.
3.7 DUO Points that have expired cannot be reinstated.
3.8 TCC reserves the right not to award and/or to revoke, deduct and/or to recompute any DUO Points for any reason as TCC may deem fit at its discretion.
4.1 Members shall keep their password confidential at all times and undertake not to divulge the password to any other person under any circumstances whatsoever and shall not permit any unauthorised person to use their password.
4.2 Members shall agree to be liable for all transactions made pursuant to the use of the password with or without the member’s knowledge or consent. Members acknowledge that TCC is under no obligation or duty to verify the authenticity of any person who performs transaction through the use of a valid password.
4.3 TCC shall not be held liable for any loss, damage or expense incurred by the member however caused through any unauthorised disclosure or unauthorised use of their password.
5. REWARDS & PRIVILEGES THROUGH DUO WEBSITE
5.1 Rewards and privileges can be redeemed through the DUO website (DUO Rewards (Singapore)).
5.2 DUO Points must be valid when redemption for rewards/privileges is made. Members must ensure that they have sufficient DUO Points in their accounts before redemption.
5.3 Members must report any unauthorized redemptions from their DUO account within three months of the unauthorized transaction activity for any corrective action to be possible.
5.4 Member’s use of the rewards/privileges is subjected to the Terms and Conditions set by both TCC and any other terms and conditions set by the providing Merchant.
5.5 All redemption requests are subjected to the availability of the rewards and provided that the Member has sufficient DUO Points for the rewards requested.
5.6 DUO Points redeemed or purported to be redeemed cannot be refunded or transferred back to the DUO account.
5.7 Cancellation of redemption request by the member will not be accepted once the redemption has been made.
5.8 DUO redemptions and vouchers will cease to be valid after the date of expiry indicated. There shall be no extension of dates.
6.1 The rights of the Member to redeem the rewards shall be automatically forfeited if the DUO account is suspended and/or terminated.
7. REDEMPTION OF DUO REWARDS AND PRIVILEGES
7.1 Voucher(s) are neither refundable nor exchangeable for cash. Unused balances will not be refunded.
7.2 Voucher(s) is only acceptable for use at DUO’s participating merchant outlets.
7.3 Voucher(s) can be used in conjunction with Maybank tr'eats discounts and privileges at selected merchant outlets unless otherwise stated.
7.4 Discounts, if any, shall only apply to the balance amount of the bill after the total value of the voucher(s) is deducted.
7.5 Redemption of voucher(s) is subject to any terms and conditions any imposed by any of DUO’s participating merchant’s outlet.
7.6 The voucher(s) will be sent to the member’s mailing address.
7.7 Voucher(s) must be presented in person during payment/redemption, accompanied by NRIC/passport or authorization letter.
7.8 For corporate members, voucher(s) must be presented by a representative from the company and accompanied by the company’s authorisation letter (with the company stamp and authorised signature) and the representative’s identification card/passport.
7.9 Issuance of voucher(s) does not constitute any representation or promise that products/services at any participating Merchant’s outlet are available or have been reserved for any Member . Members are responsible for making all reservations/notifications and enquiries of availability of the products/services pertaining to the voucher he/she is going to redeem.
7.10 Voucher(s) must be redeemed on or before the date of expiration indicated, on the voucher(s). Extension of expired vouchers is strictly prohibited.
7.11 Lost, misplaced or damaged redemption letter(s) and/or voucher(s) will not be replaced.
7.12 TCC is not obliged to replace any lost, defaced, damaged or stolen voucher(s).
7.13 TCC reserves the right to charge the member accordingly should the lost voucher be found and utilised by the member.
8. GENERAL TERMS FOR DUO REWARDS PROGRAMME
8.1 DUO Rewards & Privileges are subjected to availability and are redeemable on a first-come, first-served basis. TCC reserves the right in its absolute discretion to cancel, change, substitute or remove the rewards/privileges or make any amendments to, change or substitute the conditions relating to the rewards at any time with or without prior notice to the DUO member.
8.2 Items redeemed cannot be returned or exchanged for other rewards and are not refundable for cash/DUO Points under any circumstance whatsoever.
8.3 TCC and/or its merchants are not obliged to reserve stock or goods for DUO members and neither TCC nor its Merchants shall be liable or responsible in the event of any shortage.
8.4 Redemptions can only be made within the redemption hours indicated (a) On the redemption letter/voucher(s), (b) by TCC or (c) by the merchants at their respective outlets. Members shall adhere to the stipulated redemption hours, failing which; redemption(s) shall not be entertained.
8.5 Redemption of DUO rewards/privileges shall be subject to any terms and conditions imposed by the individual merchants and/or TCC’s affiliates terms and conditions.
8.6 Any disputes or issue arising out of redemption of any rewards/privileges shall be between the members and the participating merchant or manufacturer. TCC shall not be held liable for and disclaims any and all liabilities or responsibilities that may arise out of the goods or services that is redeemed by a Member.
9. GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS
9.1 TCC reserves the right, at any time and without prior notice, to delete, add or modify any of these terms and conditions, or to terminate any (or all) of the programmes mentioned herein.
9.2 TCC may change the programme rules of programme benefits without prior notice, even though such changes may affect the value of DUO Points already accumulated. Without limitation to the foregoing, TCC reserves the right at any time to change the following:
(a) DUO programme partners or participating organizations
(b) The rules for earning or redeeming DUO Points
(c) The rewards/privileges structure and the availability of rewards/privileges
(d) The rules for redemptions in Singapore
(e) The features of special offers and promotions. Rewards/privileges from programme partners are dependent on the partner’s continued participation in the DUO programme
9.3 TCC reserves the right to terminate the programme or any part thereof, at any time with or without notice, even though termination may affect the member’s right to accumulate DUO Points. TCC shall not be liable to members for any loss of value or benefits that may arise as a result of any changes made to the programme
9.4 TCC is not responsible for any product or service offered or promised from a participating Merchant. TCC shall not be held liable for and disclaims any and all liabilities or responsibilities that may arise as a result of using a participating Merchant.
9.5 TCC may assign or deal with these Terms and Conditions in favour of any of its subsidiaries, sub-contractors or appointed agents to carry out any of its obligations herein. TCC shall not be responsible to the member for any delay in performance of non-performance of its sub-contractors and/or agents due to cause beyond reasonable control.
9.6 TCC shall not be in breach of obligation of confidentiality if disclosure of a member’s confidential information is pursued in conjunction with an order of court, or is required by law or any governmental or regulatory authority. However, if the disclosure is not required with immediate effect, TCC shall give the members prior notice of such disclosure.
9.7 Any DUO Points credited to a member’s account that are found to be ineligible will be deducted automatically. Documents submitted for claims (to prove eligibility) cannot be returned.
9.8 Members are fully responsible for keeping themselves informed of these Terms and Conditions of the DUO programme which are posted on the DUO website.
9.9 It is the responsibility of members to keep their mailing address and email address up to date. Any communication sent to members will be regarded as delivered when posted to a mailing address on record. TCC will not be responsible for any delayed, misdirected or lost mail. Any changes to the member’s mailing address must be updated online.
9.10 TCC reserves the sole right to interpret, apply and communicate these Terms and Conditions as posted on the DUO website. All decisions made by TCC shall be final and conclusive in each case.
9.11 TCC shall not be liable for any claims, expenses, loss or damage incurred by the member or any party arising from or in connection with any incorrect DUO Points being awarded to the member’s account in accordance with the terms and conditions stated herein, in respect to any transaction.
9.12 TCC shall be entitled to send any notice (by form of post or electronic mailers) to member’s last known address with TCC. The member agrees that any notices sent by TCC in such manners shall be deemed received by the DUO members after 7 days from the date of the posting.
9.13 No forbearance, delay of failure on our part to exercise any power or right under these terms and conditions shall operate as a waiver of such power or right, nor shall any single or partial exercise of such power or right preclude any further exercise of that or any power or right.
9.14 These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Singapore. All DUO members submit themselves to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
9.15 All information contained here is correct and current at the time of publication and is subjected to change.
